Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager will report to the Retail Manager. He/She will serve customers by providing merchandise and supervising floor staff. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. Duties also include motivating sales teams, creating business strategies, developing promotional material, and training new staff.

Job Description

• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

• Maintains store staff by orienting and training employees.

• Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.

• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

• Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• GCE O/A level, Diploma in Marketing, Retail Management or Business.

Other Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 to 4 years’ retail sales experience with at least 1 year’s supervisory management.

• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

• Possess good knowledge of customer service standard product and fashion.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and people management skills.

• Result and sales-oriented attitude.

• Confident, energetic, resourceful and self-motivated team player, with willingness to “hands-on”.

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Passion for people and the retail business.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office.
