Duties:

Ensure that all vehicles in the fleet are properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements. This includes scheduling routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance issues, safety hazards, and downtime to identify trends and prepare reports for areas for improvement.

Develop and implement strategic plans for management tracking and efficiency

Oversee the acquisition process for new vehicles, including researching, selecting appropriate vehicles, negotiating purchase or lease agreements, and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and organizational needs.

Develop and manage the fleet budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or optimization.

Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in the fleet, including registration, insurance, maintenance history, and other relevant information.

Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures for drivers, including driver training programs, vehicle safety inspections, and accident reporting and investigation.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align fleet management objectives with overall organizational goals.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the safety, reliability, and longevity of the fleet.

Coordinate with external vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective fleet operations.

Utilize fleet management software and telematics systems to track vehicle location, performance, and driver behaviour, and leverage data analytics to optimize fleet operations.

Any other administrative ad-hoc work as required.

Candidate profile:

Min 2 years’ experience in facilities and fleet management
Diploma or equivalent in any specialization
Strong organizational and planning skills
Having a drivers' license will be advantageous
