Job Description Summary

As an AV Engineer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure the seamless operation of audio-visual systems across multiple sites, including NST, AQC, MPIA, WSC, and SIS. You will oversee the daily operations and event support, manage lifecycle projects, and provide technical leadership to ensure the ongoing health and efficiency of the AV systems. This role also involves collaboration with external partners and stakeholders, budget management, and a strong focus on safety and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of Assistant Engineers, Senior Technicians, and Technicians to ensure the smooth operation of sitewide audio-video systems, both for routine operations and event days.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Operations and Project Management:

  • Manage the operation and lifecycle projects, including Addition & Alteration (A&A) works and assets future planning.
  • Work closely with consortium partners, project consultants, and building authorities to ensure smooth delivery of all programs, projects, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure successful completion of corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical advisory services during site inspections and project development.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and analyse equipment downtime and recovery status to develop trend analysis and provide solutions for system improvement.
  • Submit weekly reports on the status of venue equipment and perform routine inspections daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
  • Prepare incident reports, perform root cause analysis, and implement rectification actions to prevent recurrence.

Budget and Resource Planning:

  • Plan and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the AV systems.
  • Propose lifecycle maintenance plans to reduce downtime and ensure the long-term health of AV equipment.
  • Oversee financial, lifecycle, risk, logistics, and spare parts management for AV systems and related equipment.

Maintenance Management:

  • Conduct regular 5S facility inspections to ensure a high standard of organization and cleanliness.
  • Oversee and manage reactive maintenance cases, with a focus on reducing response times and preventing future issues.
  • Ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed on time, and assess the thoroughness and accuracy of these tasks.

Project Coordination and Quality Assurance:

  • Lead minor AV projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and ensure all relevant documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management for project approvals and updates.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Take accountability and ownership of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards, promoting and building a safety culture within the team and across the venue.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

Cross-functional Support:

  • Provide support for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment-related Reactive Maintenance (RM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks when required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV systems operation, maintenance, and project management.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, or Dante Level 1 & 2 are preferred.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, excellent problem-solving skills, experience in budget management, a solid understanding of maintenance best practices, and competent with MS Office.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
