The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Accounts Executive, to join our Finance team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, AMENA, core focus of the role is to support the business by ensuring Purchase Requisition (PR) submitted are align with Procurement Policy and the costs are coded accurately. The role is also responsible for supporting the business with Procurement related activities for the group of stakeholders supported by Finance Department. In addition, the role will also support the accountant in month end accrual activities.

Key Accountabilities And Performance Indicators Include

  • Procurement
  • Support the business by performing check on Purchase Requisition (PR) submitted by requestors to ensure supporting document submitted are relevant and accurate.
  • Support the business by raising PR for the group of stakeholders supported by Finance Dept which include ensuring approval are sought from respective stakeholder that are not based in Singapore.
  • Ensure timely GR after getting confirmation from stakeholders that item/service are received/rendered.
  • Ensure all transactions associated with recognition of costs are in compliance with accounting policy and business model.
  • Assist Stakeholder to on board vendor required for PR.
  • Handle external and internal queries relating to PR spread around Asia and the international environment.
  • Other projects and tasks as and when required.
  • Month-End Activities
  • Accrual from reviewing of open Purchase Order list.
    • List is to be prepared from open PO and communicate to stakeholders for advice on status of purchase for the respective month.
    • Compile responds and advise accrual to be made.
  • To compile and make provision for the items advised by stakeholders which the PR is in the process of raising but costs have already been incurred.
  • Quality Control and Compliance
  • Ensure submitted PR are legitimate business spend.
  • Ensure cost are coded correctly in terms of nature and business model.
  • Ensure Delegated Authority Limits are applied on all transactions.
  • Any abnormalities must be immediately reported to the Manager.
  • Assist in financial process improvement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent and the following:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills (Essential)
  • Computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word) - advanced (Essential)
  • SAP (R3) skills acquired over a 3 to 5 years period in a multinational corporation with Finance background and a strong sense on cost recognition (Essential)
  • Experience in procurement role or had work with procurement is preferred.
