Fund Accountant, International Hedge Fund

Our Client, a newly launched quantitative hedge fund specializing in algorithmic trading strategies across global financial markets is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the firm’s books and records on all transactions and assets
• Liaise with the Fund Administrator on all fund accounting issues, including income/expense and P&L
• Manage accounting operations for multiple companies, including invoicing, bill payment, cash reconciliation, and budgetary controls
• Manage and maintain the firm’s financial policies and accounting practices
• Assist with reconciling positions, NAV’s and cash on a daily and monthly basis
• Prepare and organize financial analyses of operations, including accounting statements
• Coordinate annual audits with the Firm’s external auditors
• Assist in managing the firm’s tax affairs and responsibilities
• Grow skillset in fund operations and assist with operations processes over time

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Major. CPA and a willingness to maintain CPA status is desired
• Experience: 3-7 years’ hedge fund accounting experience, preferably in the fund management industry or at a leading Fund Administrator or Hedge Fund Auditor. Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills to manage custom schedules and worksheets
• Personal Fit: Communicate well both verbally and in writing in English.Work well in a small business team environment while remaining self-motivated to accomplish business goals.
