Role Overview:

The Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cocktail lab, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves supervising Lab Assistants and Specialists, maintaining high quality standards, and handling the more technical aspects of lab work such as distillation, carbonation, and infusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily lab activities and manage production schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure all lab equipment is properly maintained, functioning safely, and operated according to protocols.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure consistency in flavor and presentation.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex processes, including distillation, carbonation, and infusion techniques.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for any technical issues or production challenges that arise.
  • Train and mentor Lab Assistants and Specialists, fostering skill development and sharing technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., guest shifts, R&D) for special projects and product innovation.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the lab, including managing cleaning schedules, equipment hygiene, and overall maintenance, while encouraging staff participation in these activities.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Expertise in distillation, carbonation, and advanced lab processes.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring quality control.
