  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Broadcast Engineering, you will be responsible for implementation & maintenance of broadcast network systems and services provided by Encompass Singapore. Directly inputs to and advises on new system design and perform POC test for implementation of new technologies. Follow up troubleshooting of on-air discrepancies related to broadcast network systems. Implements both “on-prem” and cloud-based systems.

Major Responsibilities:

Technical:

  1. Responsible for the administration and technical support of broadcast network infrastructure
  2. Design and build network infrastructure for supporting new broadcast services
  3. Implement broadcast components in public and private cloud environments
  4. Responsible for management of network resources such as network devices and IP address administration
  5. Responsible for managing technical documentation such as network diagrams, configuration record and SOP for operations and maintenance
  6. Responsible for planning and execution of network system maintenance and troubleshooting
  7. Responsible for implementing industry standard network security practices and managing various firewalls to protect broadcast facilities, ensuring that all network activities, designs & documentation complies with ISO27001 standards
  8. Managing and monitoring of network traffic for both internal and external connections to meet business requirement
  9. Managing VPN user account and make sure remote support connections are connected in secured manner
  10. Provide secondary support for workflow and file transcoding system when primary system owner is not available
  11. Interface to Encompass’ wider IT, Network and IT Security teams to ensure compliance with global processes, procedures and standards

Requirements:

  1. Proficient in administering LAN, WAN & TCP/IP network
  2. Proficient using and configuring public cloud services such as AWS, Google, Azure or Oracle Cloud
  3. Expert and hands-on experience in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting server and network systems
  4. Knowledgeable and hands-on experience in network security implementation and security thread monitoring
  5. Sound experience in supporting server technologies and network communication
  6. Sound knowledge in MS SQL, Oracle database and CISCO/Juniper network system
  7. Proficient in Server and NAS/SAN storage technologies
  8. Knowledge of public and private cloud technologies
  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  10. Able to work independently as well as in a team
  11. Certification in either CCNA, CCNP or JNCIA
  12. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
