Senior Desktop Engineer (1 year contract, renewable)

Working hours: Mon-Fri 08-17:30 OR 10:30-19:00 (Sat 08:00-17:30)
Salary: $3,200 - $3,400 (+KPI incentives + 1 month completion bonus)
Jobscope:
Network design and implementation
- Design and implement scalable and resilient network architectures, including Lan, Wan, and data center networks
- Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators
Network optimization and performance monitoring
- Monitor network performance, traffic patterns, and bandwidth utilization using network monitoring tools
- Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze network metrics, and implement optimizations to improve overall network efficiency
Network security and compliance
- Implement and manage network security measures
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure network integrity
Network troubleshooting and incident response
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues
- Participate in on-call rotations or after-hours support as needed to address critical network emergencies
Documentation and knowledge sharing
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation
- Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in networking
Requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology or any related field will be preferred
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, design, and implementation in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
- Hands-on experience with network equipment
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools
- Experience with network security practices
