The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.
CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Job Description

The candidate will work on mathematical foundations of quantum information measures, e.g., exploring integral formulae for relative entropies and on axiomatic derivations of quantum information measures. In this role he will also help supervise students and junior postdocs working on these topics.

Job Requirements

  • Broad experience in quantum information, in particular in the mathematical foundations of quantum information and in the study of information measures
  • Strong background in mathematics, in particular matrix analysis
  • Experience in supervising students and junior postdocs
