  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Insworld Institute is a private secondary school in Singapore for local and international students. We teach a British curriculum, adapted to suit the needs of the international learner.

We work only with small class sizes (4-12 students), allowing us to focus on the needs of each individual student.

Mathematics Teacher
Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (O-Level) and International A-Level

Primary Role

  • Teach Mathematics at International GCSE and International A-Level, including modules in Statistics, Mechanics and Further Mathematics
  • Set and mark homework tasks and formative and summative assessment tests
  • Maintain attendance, achievement and class management records
  • Monitor academic progress of students
  • Provide regular reports on student performance
  • Attend meetings to review performance
  • Act as Personal Tutor (academic mentor) to some students

This role would be suitable for a recent graduate who is looking to expand their experience of teaching. On-going training will be given.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Help maintain high levels of student discipline
  • Implement strategies to help ensure students achieve the best possible examination results
  • Take an active role in promoting the welfare and wellbeing of students at the School
  • Take an active role in extra-curricular activities
  • Be available to give extra tuition to students who require this assistance
  • Undertake any other duties as directed

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential
  • A university honours degree in Mathematics or related subject
  • Enthusiasm to teach and develop pedagogical experience
  • Ability to teach small groups, focusing on the needs of each student

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Pearson Edexcel Mathematics programmes at IAL, International GCSE
  • Ability to teach an additional subject (Physics)
  • Experience of teaching international students using English as the medium of instruction
