The Business Technology Group (BTG) within IMDA play a key role in driving the adoption of innovative technologies such as AI, digital trust, and quantum communication to catalyse industry transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Support/lead development tracks of programme strategy for quantum communications and/or AI.
  • With technology subject matter experts, conduct horizon scanning to identify key technology drivers and ecosystem players
  • Support/create partnerships with local and overseas technology companies and governments to identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Conduct study on technology adoption and business needs and propose solutions to drive sustainable business models for industry adoption.
  • Proactively monitor programme progress, identifying risks and challenges and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and handle programme operations, including scoping collaboration plan, procurement/grant call process, paper drafting and submission, track cashflow, knowledge management and others.
  • Support internal and inter-agency taskforces, including development and presentation of programme updates and facilitate strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Degree holder with at least 5 years working experience in technology areas, with demonstrated ability to drive large scale technology projects or programmes.
  • Appreciation of both technology and business landscapes.
  • Proven track record in programme/project management, strategic planning or consulting
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, comfortable engaging CxOs.
  • Candidates with knowledge or experience in AI and quantum communication is a plus.
