Job Scopes
Network Design and Implementation:
Design and implement scalable and resilient network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks
Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
Monitor network performance, traffic patterns, and bandwidth utilization using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
Network Security and Compliance:
Implement and manage network security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).
Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
Network Troubleshooting and Incident Response
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve network-related incidents, following established escalation procedures.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain comprehensive network documentation including network diagrams, configurations, change logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Studied in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
5+ years of experience in network engineering, design, and implementation.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, VPNs, and QoS.
Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, etc.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar are a plus.
