Job Responsibilities:
· Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables, and meat.
· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and sweeping floors.
· Assist Chefs with basic cooking tasks, such as boiling, frying, and sauce preparation.
· Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly and report any issues for repair.
· Ensure that all food prepared meets the restaurant's quality standards.
· Manage inventory of ingredients and kitchen supplies, ensuring freshness and availability.
· Assist in packing the food at counter during busy periods.
· Adhere to kitchen safety and hygiene standards to prevent accidents and food contamination.
· Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared on time.
· Other ad-hoc duties/ projects assigned by Director or Chef.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
· Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
· Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
