What The Role Is

As a Research Analyst/ Senior Research Analyst in the Research and Management Information Division, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to harnessing data-driven insights to advance educational practice and policy formulation in MOE. In particular, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising data analysts, psychologists, and psychometricians, who work closely on instrument/ survey design, data collection, analysis, and the generation and communication of data insights.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Design and develop surveys and psychometric instruments to assess attitudes, perceptions and non-academic competencies and skills
  • Assist in data collection, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with best standards and regulatory requirements
  • Utilise advanced data analysis techniques and tools to extract, clean, analyse data, and identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain data visualisation solutions, including dashboards, reports, and interactive visualisations, to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret data findings and provide actionable recommendations to inform policy and decision-making


What We Are Looking For

  • Training in data science, mathematics, information technology, psychometrics or a related field
  • A team player with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent workstreams with simultaneous deadlines
  • Familiarity with statistical software/ programming languages such as Python, R, Mplus, would be an advantage
  • Experience in the end-to-end process of designing instruments, collecting, analysing and visualising data to derive actionable insights would be an advantage
