Our client is a leading commodity shipping and vessel management company with established key partnerships across the region and internationally and are now looking for a Finance Executive to join their dynamic and fun-loving team!
Work location: Alexandra
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare full set of accounts for portfolio of vessels up to monthly closing for review with the Senior Accountant.
Issues and submit the invoices for each client according to the contractual agreements, monitor their timely payment, reporting any potential discrepancies from schedule. Monitors the financial position of assigned vessels.
Executes all the accounting transactions of the assigned vessels, i.e., invoices, expenses, payments, payroll, etc., and updates accordingly, assist in the effective monitoring of each vessel's financial operation and compliance with the accounting rules and legislation.
Performing and checking bank reconciliation.
Review and check master’s month-end cash statement.
Ensure prompt settlement of all accounts/payments of related vessels, to support the smooth operation of vessels.
Produces and submits periodical financial reports of the assigned vessels to senior management and reviews the vessel's actual costs against budgets. Informs the Senior Accountant of each assigned vessel, concerning budget variances.
Assisting Senior accountant for the timely preparation of yearly Company financial reports.
Requirements:
Must have at least 3 - 4 years’ Ship Management Accounts/Finance experience in shipping companies
Education qualification in Accountancy or equivalent
Meticulous and comfortable to work with tight deadlines
