The incumbent is responsible for driving backend information system related projects, and he/ she is expected to be leading a small, dynamic team of both Team Leaders and Executives responsible for the migration and upgrading of our backend information systems. Other key areas of work include but is not limited to refining of existing processes as well as the development and deployment of new technology projects driven by the unit. Candidate may also be required to travel between outlets for deployment of the various projects when necessary and interact with people from all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage the smooth transition and upgrade of legacy systems and applications
  • Liaise with IT Project Managers to ensure all deliverables are on schedule and escalate critical failure points to management
  • Monitor stores' feedback after rollout and identify key issues for targeted follow up actions/enhancements
  • Participate in key cross-functional projects and work with relevant stakeholders to develop problem statements and identify end-to-end solutions (including financial accounting) to address issues through tech enablers
  • Plan and allocate manpower to support the timely deliverable of various initiatives
  • Assess and lead the requirement gathering for new initiatives or enhancements with end users and communicate requests to system designers
  • Ensure all functionalities and end-to-end UAT are passed with proper documentation being maintained and end users are equipped with user guides and training to facilitate the rollout of new requirement before deployment to stores
  • Continuously look at existing workflows to identify opportunities for improvement for Cheers
  • Ensure smooth rollout and prompt resolution of issues in the live environment
  • Oversee daily operational support on all Cheers-related matters for stores and ensure timely response and closure of production issues and feedback
  • Lead for stocktaking activities and follow up analysis for Cheers
  • Ensure training system is regularly upgraded with relevant functionalities and provide LHub with updated user guides on a quarterly basis

  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6pm

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline, preferably in Business or Business Info Systems
  • Working experience in the retail industry is preferred
  • Candidate should be comfortable working with different types of backend info systems. Background in SAP Retail is a bonus but not a pre-requisite.
  • Basic understanding of Accounting and Financial Posting in backend systems
  • Knowledge in Project Management and UAT testing
  • Experience in system migration exercises
  • Experience in leading a small team
  • Comfortable with change and new technology
  • Able to work under pressure with high adaptability and initiative
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Keen eye for details
  • Proactive and keen interest to learn new skills
