We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, with a focus on providing on-call support during weekends and scaling our system infrastructure. This position requires someone with expertise in cloud platforms, monitoring, and automation, as well as availability during the weekend to address coverage gaps. The role involves setting up and maintaining DevOps automations, deploying infrastructure, and monitoring the system to ensure maximum uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps Support & Automation:

  • Implement and maintain DevOps processes and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
  • Set up and deploy infrastructure using Kubernetes and ArgoCD on Google Cloud Platform
  • Automate operational tasks and workflows to improve system efficiency and scalability

Monitoring & Incident Response:

  • Provide on-call monitoring support on weekends, ensuring prompt issue resolution and minimal downtime
  • Utilize Betterstack, Grafana, and other monitoring tools to track system performance and alerts
  • Provide timely response to incidents, ensuring rapid resolution of any issues that arise

System Scaling & Optimization:

  • Ensure that infrastructure is scalable and optimized for performance
  • Use technologies like Kafka and ClickHouse to manage data flow and storage efficiently

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the team to address system improvements and troubleshoot complex problems


Requirements

  • Google Cloud Platform experience with proven deployments
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and ArgoCD for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Strong DevOps experience with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Proficiency with Betterstack and Grafana for monitoring and alerting
  • Experience with Kafka for data streaming and ClickHouse for database management
  • On-call availability on weekends (UTC 7 PM - 3 AM) for incident response and system monitoring


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Haskell Blockchain Development
  • Knowledge of Cardano Node and blockchain technologies
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar roles


Availability & Hours:

  • Weekend coverage required: Saturdays and Sundays, UTC 7 PM - 3 AM (UTC +11 time zone preferred)
  • On-call responsibilities for up to 16-20 hours per weekend
  • Flexibility for additional hours if needed
