[What the role is]

This is a 2-years contract position Senior Service-Learning Catalyst/ Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Service-Learning Pedagogy

Plan, coordinate and facilitate implementation of Service-Learning modules across academic schools, ensuring alignment with diploma’s academic outcomes

Training & Mentorship

Serve as the Master Trainer, providing Service-Learning training and mentorship on best practices to faculty both within the Polytechnic and across other higher learning institutions, including ASEAN universities

Partnership Development

Establish and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including non-profits, government bodies, and corporations, to create meaningful Service-Learning projects

Research & Evaluation

Lead research initiatives and assessments related to Service-Learning, ensuring safe and effective learning environments, and mentor staff on conference presentations

Administration

Handle administrative tasks such as event publicity, data management, procurement, and other duties essential to the successful execution of Service-Learning programs, while also participating in broader institutional activities

[What we are looking for]

  • Proven experience in Service-Learning pedagogy development and implementation
  • Strong background in training, mentoring, and consulting with teaching staff
  • Experience in establishing and sustaining partnerships with community and corporate organizations
  • Research experience in education or Service-Learning, with a history of securing research grants
  • Passion for Service-Learning and community engagement
  • Experience in teaching community care, communications, psychology and/or life skills modules would be an advantage
