Operations Controller/Director

Role Description:

The role reports to the CEO and execute the Group’s overall corporate strategy for all operations in the region. The incumbent will be responsible for the profitability and overall performance of the various departments including increasing the market segment and sales via retail online and offline channels, meeting sales targets, formulation and implementation of retail operational policies and procedures including improvement on systems and procedures. The incumbent is expected to contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of a business strategy that maximises retail net profit by driving sales and controlling costs, assisting the CEO in the planning, executing of the annual operating budget, retail strategy and marketing and merchandising plans. The incumbent will ensure the continuous development and compliance of operational processes and procedures for supply chain and store operations, sales, marketing and customer service throughout the organization.

Role Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Technical equivalent.
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experiences at Senior Management level in a fast moving consumer goods/retail organisation operating with “best practice” manufacturing and supply chain management.
• Project management skills and Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
• Operations analytics and Performance KPIs.
• Experience of defining, documenting and validating business requirements.
• Knowledge of project planning and project management methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written and problem solving.
• Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong research skills including gathering and analysing data from multiple sources.
• Experience in production planning and controlling materials flow.
• Able to develop medium and long term operations strategy plans.
• Experienced in budgetary control and standard costing systems.
• Experience of working in a high volume retail, manufacturing and supply chain industry.
• Significant experience of retail, manufacturing and supply chain related project management.
• Highly skilled in documentation preparation and numeracy.
