The Paralegal will provide general-level support to the Legal and Compliance Department on contractual, administrative support and management of billing matters. This role will report to the Head Legal and Compliance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide support to stakeholders and business units on contract and internal compliance matters
  • Support the Legal team in drafting, reviewing and editing various contracts including non-disclosure and service agreements
  • Assist in editing and proofreading various contracts, formal correspondence and legal filings to comply with legislation/regulations
  • Conducting legal research, reviewing, tracking and monitoring legislation that impacts the company
  • Organize and maintain legal files, records, and documents
  • Manage and maintain databases and tracking systems
  • Administrative support for legal department including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, assisting with claims, filing and general day-to-day support.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of law firm and/or in-house experience
  • Diploma or degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or related field
  • Background in corporate and transactional work
  • Excellent communication skills, with a command of business Mandarin a bonus, but not a necessity
  • Strong client-service and customer orientation
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and independent
  • Team-player, with an ability to work with colleagues from different teams
  • Organised, detail-oriented and resourceful, with an ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure, entrepreneurial environment, and meet tight deadlines when required
