Job Description for a Full Semester Intern (5months)

Title of project:

LAM CIP Edge Ring Qualification

Description of project:

Evaluate CIP Edge Ring in LAM Workstation for yield improvement and cost reduction.

Scope:

Your job scope (as an engineering intern) would involve in evaluating a CIP Edge Ring in LAM Workstation for yield improvement and cost reduction under the guidance of a senior engineer. Some specific tasks that you may be responsible could include:

• Develop and optimize dry etch processes through recipe development and parts qualification to meet product specifications.

• In-depth understanding to dry etch process, specifically conductor etching and process deviation troubleshooting.

• Design and execute experiments to identify optimal process conditions for process improvement.

• Collaborate with process/equipment engineers and technicians for process characterization, problem solving, statistical data analysis and design of experiment.

Deliverables:

• Understanding of dry etch process and LAM tool overview.

• Qualification of CIP Edge Ring

• MTBC extension qualification by 300hrs for tool manufacturing availability (MA%) improvement.

Skillset Required :

• Students pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering.
