Position Description

Looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Network Engineer responsible for global network operations and large-scale projects. This technical role requires a solid understanding of networking technologies and concepts. The position focuses on Operational Excellence and Customer Service, leading network activities for large projects.

  • Identifies, purchases, configures, runs, and maintains all network hardware and services.
  • Partners with suppliers to stay updated on technological changes.
  • Strives for the best balance between technology, performance, and cost.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide network support during APAC hours.
  • Participate in network migrations in APAC.
  • Improve processes and procedures.
  • Mentor Service Delivery to enhance networking skills.

Duties

  • Design, build, and support all required networks, including documentation.
  • Create and support standard processes to meet Service Level Agreements for network uptime, reliability, service, and performance.
  • Assist in specifying, ordering, purchasing, asset-tracking, and inventory of network-related equipment/supplies/software.
  • Maintain global network infrastructure, identify and resolve issues, and create action plans.
  • Use tools to identify and resolve complex issues promptly.
  • Report and escalate issues affecting network availability, security, or integrity.
  • Work closely with Service Delivery to ensure timely delivery of new data centers.
  • Research and investigate new tools/technologies to improve team efficiency.
  • Lead projects by creating effective plans and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Perform functions in designated office or field locations.
  • Comply with Acceptable Use Policy and industry-specific standards.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of network engineering experience with multi-site global networks.
  • Bilingual in English and Cantonese with excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience at CCNP/JNCIP/CCIE/JNCIE level or higher.
  • Data Center experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Fortinet is advantageous but not essential.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting LANs, fault finding, and isolation, with knowledge of technologies like Spanning Tree, Port channels, and Stacking
