Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in the monitoring of Branch’s credit portfolio and identifying potential credit risks and suggest mitigating measures. Prepare internal scheduled/ ad-hoc credit reports, regulatory reports / surveys.

  • Maintain and manage ECL model and methodology (credit provision calculation). Address any gaps vis-à-vis the regulatory requirements as well as continuous improvements in the ECL model. Prepare and analyse ECL under SGAAP/IFRS9 framework.

  • Formulate scenarios for credit risk stress test (internal and regulatory), conduct stress test, analyse and present the stress test results to management.

  • Preparation and presentation of portfolio trends/ ad-hoc portfolio reviews, and other credit-related topics to Management during monthly Credit Committee meetings and other internal Forums.

  • Participate and lead the projects to implement new / revision of regulatory or internal reporting requirements as well as process improvements.

  • Address enquiry from business and other stakeholders in relation to credit portfolio.

  • Handle internal and external audit queries within the department and prepare/submit necessary documents relating to the job as required.

  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate credit risk portfolio monitoring, reporting and management within the banking industry

  • Quantitative Finance background with familiarity of working with IFRS9 ECL model and credit risk stress test. Familiarity with MAS IWST (credit risk stress test) and IFRS9 framework will be an added advantage.

  • Good analytical skills to interpret large and complex data sets and ability to identify implications of data sets.

  • Committed and able to handle time-sensitive reports / projects.

  • Good communication and presentation skills with ability to influence others using complex data or analysis to support line of reasoning and decision making.

  • Able to work in teams as well as manage standalone reports/projects.

  • Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others. Experience in using Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Degree qualified

  • Degree/certifications in quantitative finance will be added advantage.
