Position Summary

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customer service and repair needs ensuring that our customers’ equipment operates efficiently at all times. The Hardware FSE is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on all designated VMS equipment according to instructions and company guidelines. Each FSE operates in a designated field service territory and represents VMS. This requires a high level of professional communication with their team, customers, management, sales, and other technical support.

:

  • You will perform installations, start-ups, maintenance, repairs, and updates of all products within your area of expertise (AX, XP, LINAC) and assisting with other products under supervision.
  • You will communicate and accept all operative advice from the Customer Care Center.
  • You will support the SERVOR Service process and ensure optimal performance in all process activities related to within your area of responsibility.
  • You will escalate incidents according to the defined parameters and inform the Customer Care Center on all escalation issues.
  • You will ensure the proper use of tool & test equipment and report the usage on any related service report.
  • You will comply to national and local regulations and safety standards, as well as technical and operational guidelines from Siemens Healthineers.
  • You will maintain highest customer satisfaction, within the framework of Siemens Healthineers, Customer Services.

Qualifications & Requirement

  • You hold a successfully completed Degree in Electrical/ Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
  • You have at least 2 to 3 years of related experience in the Healthcare industry.
  • Added advantage if you are LINAC certified. Those without will be trained and certified.
  • You are self-driven, motivated and have a positive work attitude.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are proficient in English both written and spoken.
  • The role will require to be on standby and work on weekend & public holiday due to business requirement.
