Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage shipment schedules based on customer orders and required timelines.
- Negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders, and handle freight bookings.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries by monitoring shipping schedules and coordinating with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams.
- Prepare import/export permits and address queries with Singapore Customs as needed.
- Coordinate with logistics companies to manage trucking schedules, ensuring shipments are completed within free time periods.
- Prepare shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, BL instructions, and others, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Arrange and track courier shipments, resolving any issues or delays that may occur.
- Handle shipment-related queries and feedback, resolving discrepancies, delays, and other challenges proactively.
- Maintain and update shipment-related administrative records.
- Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level, preferably with 3 years relevant experience
Good knowledge of Import / Export Shipping procedure and documentation will be advantageous
Familiarity with Incoterms will advantageous
Computer literate in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Good communication skills.
Good organizational skills, detail-oriented and flexible
Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
