Get to Know the Role

As an IT MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the MES software, ensuring its integration with other systems (e.g., ERP systems). You will need to be detail-oriented as your responsibilities include managing and documenting reports related to the MES system configurations. This role also includes working with internal service teams and external partners, so good effective communication skills are necessary.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, supporting, and ensuring maintenance and documentation of the MES model in terms of products, routes, operations, equipment, recipes, and lot movements
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the MES software and its integration with other systems such as ERP systems
  • Leading or supporting the implementation and deployment of MES solutions, including system testing, data migration, user training, and go-live activities
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within the manufacturing environment through the analysis of MES data and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to MES system configurations, workflows, procedures, and user manuals
  • Participating in MES-related projects, including project planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking, to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints
  • Responsible for entire local IT & network setup, support, maintenance, backup and security
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of problems
  • Change, incident, request and problem handling according to ITIL standards
  • Work closely with the internal service team as well as our external partners
  • Assist in the planning, implementation and administration of M365 services such as MS Power Automate, PowerBI, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, OneDrive and other components
  • Support in the conception and implementation up to the introduction of the projects in all phases for a sustainable operation, including Cloud projects
  • Further development of our Digital Workplace vision
  • Any ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor/manager

Skills and Competencies Profile

  • Bachelor/Diploma in IT with extensive hands-on experience in the area Automation and MES implementation
  • Minimum 3 years hands on with MES software platforms implementation and support
  • Proficiency in system integration in term of machine-to-machine and to application such as ERP
  • Experience in delivering solutions for OEE, Energy Consumption, Traceability
  • Proficiency in programming language such as Visual Studio, project and vendor management skill
  • SQL programming and data manipulation, familiar with at least one of the commonly used databases in the market (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL)
  • Strong knowledge of IT security and compliance
  • Exceptional end-user support mindset and orientation
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and able to contribute and present in a concise manner
  • Experience with automation and robotic in manufacturing will be considered a plus
