Purpose

To perform sampling/testing and support related activities in QC Biological team.

Responsibilities

1. Perform routine and adhoc/ non-routine testing in the following areas with good observation of GMP requirements:

· Biological testing of raw materials. Biological testing refers to biochemistry and/ or microbiological testing.

· Biological testing of intermediates and product

· Biological testing of utilities samples (eg city water, purified water, water for injection, compressed gases, etc)

· Biological testing required to support manufacturing process validations and confirmations.

· Perform routine environmental monitoring of classified environment.

2. Initiate and participate in laboratory investigation (OOS / deviations / atypical results / invalid results) and assist in timely closure of the investigation and CAPA.

3. Perform equipment maintenance and validation.

4. Participate in method transfer / verification / validation.

5. Participate in peer review for verification of task and data.

6. Assist in SOP writing.

7. Identify and report problems observed/encountered to QC Superintendent in a timely manner.

8. Practice 6S and ensure good housekeeping of laboratory, work area and equipment.

9. Ensure good inventory of QC materials (purchased and prepared materials / glassware) to support testing; ensure no over surplus of inventory.

10. Participate in GPS initiatives for continuous improvements.

11. Ensure wastes are disposed appropriately and promptly.

12. Adheres to all safety and security policies and practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

1. Fresh graduate in NITEC, Diploma in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a QC environment

2. Competent technical skills in the followings:

3. Good laboratory knowledge and hands-on experience in Biochemistry/Microbiological testing

4. Laboratory equipment qualification (advantage)

5. Knowledge of cGLP & cGMP (advantage)

6. Effective report writing skills (preferably with "legible" handwriting)

7. Good interpersonal skills

8. Planning and organising skills (for individual time management & work planning)

9. Team Player

10. Leadership and problem-solving skill with analytical and logical thinking
