The Director of Engagement, Communication & Change Management is responsible for driving the strategic planning and execution of internal engagement initiatives with the COO community, internal communications, and change management across the organization. This role ensures alignment between business transformation goals and organizational culture. The Director will lead the development of communication strategies and change management frameworks that support large-scale transformations, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining high levels of employee engagement and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication Strategy & Engagement:

  • Develop an engagement plan with the COO community and lead the development of communication content including newsletters, quarterly offsite events and operations community updates.
  • Develop comprehensive internal communication strategies to ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging across all levels of the organization.
  • Create and manage communication plans that support the transformation of the Operations function.

Change Management:

  • Lead the design and implementation of change management frameworks for large-scale transformations, including process changes, organizational restructuring, and new technology implementations.
  • Develop and execute change management plans that minimize disruption and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Provide leadership in stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the change process, addressing concerns, reducing resistance, and ensuring clear understanding of changes.
  • Train and coach leaders and managers to act as change champions, ensuring they effectively lead their teams through transitions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

  • Partner with senior leaders and department heads to ensure alignment on communication and change strategies, ensuring that key initiatives are well-coordinated and understood across the business.
  • Measure the effectiveness of engagement, communication, and change management programs, providing regular reports to senior leadership and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Continuously assess feedback and engagement levels to adapt strategies and address emerging challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) or Employee Engagement programs are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, change management, employee engagement, or a similar leadership role, preferably within a large organization.
  • Proven experience leading communication strategies and change management efforts during major organizational transformations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in change management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully implementing large-scale changes.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to translate data and feedback into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt strategies based on the unique needs of the business.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive engagement and cultural change.
