Key Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct day-to-day Level 2 (L2) support for banking application software. If errors are detected by the bank's operations department (Level 1 support), you will need to find a recovery solution in collaboration with the outsourcing vendor, the bank's IT department, and, if necessary, the counterparty at the Head Office. This may require overtime if the issue occurs outside business hours.
  • Lead projects related to change requests from users or End of Life (EOL) issues such as operating systems, database management software, and hardware. You will be responsible for managing these projects.
  • Manage team members, vendors, and service providers. Develop project schedules and ensure all tasks are completed as required and planned.
  • Oversee project execution by resolving issues, controlling vendors and resources, managing schedules, and preparing reports for management, the bank, and the Head Office for approval if needed
  • Coordinate all processes to ensure smooth progress for the bank, developers, vendors, and the relevant development team at the Head Office.



Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Application Software Engineer in the banking IT sector substantiated by actual projects and/or experiences.
  • Diploma or Degree in IT.
  • Experience in application development within the banking IT sector, with a focus on high-level robustness in applications (Core banking, loans, and market systems etc).
  • Proficiency in programming (Java/Shell etc), RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server etc), and OS (Windows/Linux).
  • Knowledge of HULFT, MQ, SFTP, VMware technology, or network administration is advantageous.
  • Experience with low-code development tools (eg. Intramart) is also advantageous.
  • The ability to interact effectively across all levels, including the bank IT department, the bank user department, outsourcing vendors, member of head office, will help the candidate perform successfully in the role.
  • Coordination skills to handle various parties, such as both local and international clients, vendors and counterparts.
