As the first point of contact for all guests visiting La Table D’ Emma, the Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in providing a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This position involves managing reservations, coordinating the flow of guests, and assisting the service team to maintain a well-presented dining environment.

What you will expect:

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
Manage the restaurant's reservation system, taking phone calls to book and confirm guest reservations
Coordinate the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant to ensure efficient seating
Manage the restaurant's waitlist and communicate accurate wait times to guests
Engage in sales efforts by providing information on special promotions, events, and menu offerings, both over the phone and in person, with the goal of increasing reservations and guest attendance
Assist to handle customer recovery by addressing and resolving guest complaints or issues in a prompt, professional manner, ensuring a positive outcome
Engage in public relations activities, representing the restaurant positively and promoting guest satisfaction
Perform administrative documentation tasks, such as maintaining reservation logs, updating guest records, and preparing reports as required by management
Assist the service team in ensuring the dining room is clean, well-presented, and all tables are set for guests
Perform other related duties as required by the Reservation and Restaurant Managers.

Skills/Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills, including experience with reservation systems
Positive attitude :D

5 Days work/week rostered, must be able to work weekends.
Time: 10.30am to 3.30pm and 5.30pm to 10.30pm (Split Shift)
