Specific responsibilities of a Trade Compliance Specialist may include as below.

1. Data entry and documentation preparation of all style information required to support the classification of merchandise.

2. Monitoring and coordinating with the forwarder/ Distribution Centre/local and overseas customer. And Transportation to resolve issues such as Quantity or Carton Discrepancies, Seal

3. Discrepancies, Manifest Discrepancies

4. Gathering information regarding risks and issues, reviewing status of products/ projects

5. Understanding compliance requirements in assigned geography especially in APAC.

6. Creating and maintaining procedures ensuring the consistency and accuracy of the import and export process

Job Description:

- Preparing and filing compliance reports.

- Assessing and responding to client concerns

- Consulting with internal/external legal department and advising leadership and management on compliance matters.

- Communicating with government agencies about compliance statuses including Strategic permit applications and renewal.

- Preparing communications and presenting updates about company compliance processes

- Ensuring all products, activities, documentation, and policies comply with industry, provincial and territorial, and federal regulations. Completing special compliance-related projects

- Developing and providing employee training program on compliance-related matters, policies, practices, and reporting systems.

- Developing standard operating procedures, creating and maintaining records and filing of compliance activities

- Updating company records for compliance-related data

- Identifying, assessing, and resolving compliance issues and irregularities, and violations

- Subject Matter Expert: Advising company leaders on compliance matters

Job Requirements:

- Relevant experiences within EMS industry

- Bachelors degree in business, finance, or a related field.

- Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) preferred.

- At least 5 years of experience in the field of compliance.

- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory standards.
