Business Analyst - Functional Analyst (Patient Ops & Health Finance)

Position Overview

The Business Analyst develops and designs system/data product solutions with the purpose of improving business efficiency and productivity. He/She initiates the study and research of client business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures or problems according to business needs. He/She analyses the feasibility of new systems and/or enhancements to existing systems.

He/She possesses an analytical mind, and is able to see interconnections with system solutions and usability. He adopts a systematic approach in handling ambiguous or complex issues, and actively discusses his/her perspectives to arrive at effective solutions. We are looking for a Functional Business Analyst to help look at upcoming projects for our non-clinical systems.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of one or more Healthcare Application projects
• Develop good project management skills to achieve project objectives
• Develop sound understanding of business requirements and how effective information makes a difference in analysis and decision making
• Identify data and business gap within organization’s information systems and perform analysis from the systems
• Prepare Users Requirement and Technical specifications/documentations
• Provide sound advice to users on the usage of healthcare domain business systems
• Participate in evaluation of vendor or package/product/data solution and recommend effective and cost-saving solutions
• Assist to review and evaluate on vendors’ design and solutions
• Support positive project vendor relationships and resolve technical issues
• Help to conduct investigations of complaints and provide resolution actions
• Keep up-to-date and track technology in the area of expertise and provide/review recommendations
• Supervise junior project team members
• Provide project progress reports on work tasks assigned
• Perform testing where required and perform data / requirement resolution and patching
• Review and rationalize requirements (e.g. to avoid duplicate solutions for the requirements, or standardize it among the different institutions)
• Review and monitor daily jobs to ensure timely delivery of data
  
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years of relevant IT project experiences with implementation involvement in at least 1-2 project cycles
• At least 5 year of project management experience with hands-on experience in project implementation and vendor management in medium-scale to large-scale projects
• At least 1 year experience in healthcare industry, preferably with broad understanding of healthcare business processes like patient administration, patient accounting, and bed management processes
• Seasoned experience in gathering and documenting business requirements from end-users
• Solid understanding and hands on experience in all phases of project system development lifecycle
• Strong communication skills and end-user focused
• Effective written and verbal communication skill
• Coach and team player to ensure team meets delivery targets
