Job Description
This Client Services role function within the Private Equity platform of CapitaLand Investment, centralising and coordinating all aspects of investor communications.
Working closely with Key Internal Clients, you will be responsible for managing the coordination of all forms of communication with existing investors, ensuring that investors are provided with a “best-in-class” level of service covering all aspects of the funds in which they are invested. You will be required to deal directly with investors and be able to coordinate with various teams, including, the Key Internal Clients, Marketing and Communications, Fund Finance, Risk & Compliance, Capital Raising and Product Development.
Responsibilities
  • Development and growth of a Client Services team - building out a scalable Client Services function and improving current processes for funds predominately across Asia and expanding across Europe/US
  • Implementation and management of an effective CRM and Investor Portal using third party platforms (e.g., Dynamo, Backstop)
  • Coordination of the investor communication program for all funds including quarterly reporting, webcasts, newsflashes and other forms of formal correspondence including capital calls, distributions, NAV statements etc, working closely with Fund Finance, Fund Administration and Fund Managers
  • Handle all ad-hoc investor queries, liaising with the appropriate investment teams and finance where necessary to ensure high quality responses are provided in a timely manner
  • Supporting ongoing fundraising initiatives where required, including assisting with client take-on procedures for new closed ended funds and on an on-going basis for open-ended funds
  • Generating content and providing input to key investor-related events and communications (e.g., AGMs, LP advisory committees, investor meetings, newsletters, research etc)
  • Develop capabilities to provide financial analysis for investor reporting, track record, ROIs, (surveys, benchmarking etc)

  • Proven ability to build teams and manage people
  • Self-starter who is organised and able to time manage effectively to work towards investor deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels to deliver high quality client services to our investors
  • Detail-oriented, structured thinker with strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Responsive and flexible attitude towards evolving responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel to key global offices
Role Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience in private equity investor relations/client services (experience may include roles within other areas of the industry)
  • Previous experience in real estate essential
  • Previous experience with CRM/Investor Portal platforms essential
  • Previous experience with open-ended funds (as well as closed-ended funds) highly preferable
  • Experience of dealing with a variety of institutional investors
  • Excellent academic credentials are required to Degree level at a minimum
  • Exceptional English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
