DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

The Regional Business Manager (RBM) is responsible to drive impactful channel programs for a selection of Vendors. By extension, the RBM will act as the single point of contact for Vendor regional teams. As such, this role is expected to build strong relationship with the Vendor regional and local teams and with selection of partners.

Internally, the RBM needs to secure buy-in from Local Management (Country Manager, Sales Director) and work effectively with working level local teams to deliver outcomes. The RBM will work very closely with a number of regional functions (Technical, Marketing, Services, Operations, …) to design / improve programs.

The RBM will also play a role of trusted advisor to the Regional Manager in identifying improvement opportunities not necessarily limited to the selection of vendors in their portfolio.

This role will report Regional General Manager SEAHK.

As the Regional Business Manager, you will:

  • Drive the growth and breadth of the channel community of the assigned portfolio of Vendors.
  • Align and prioritize Distribution-led initiatives with Vendor Regional teams
  • Design impactful Demand Generation campaigns (e.g. Partner recruitment, Demo-Days, others) with the support from Regional Pre-Sales and Marketing teams where appropriate
  • Drive in-country execution of channel activities / programs by working alongside local teams where needed.
  • Work with Regional Marketing to amplify Vendor programs / EXN Demand generation campaigns.
  • Engage with select key partners in combination with field sales to build joint business planning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the RGM to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare and lead Regional QBRs.
  • Act as the single point of contact during month end / quarter end closure, negotiate with Vendor regional teams when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Regional Business Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong understanding of Vendor and Channel ecosystem dynamics ideally gained through significant experience in IT Distribution
  • Superior relationship-building skills – both with internal and external parties
  • Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams and with parties in various geographies & culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks and managing it well.
  • Self-starter, demonstrated ability and willingness to take initiative in owning, dealing with and resolving problems on a logical basis.
  • Good working knowledge on Microsoft Office and ERP solutions such as Oracle NetSuite or SAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
