Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of the editorial team within the SIA Public Affairs department, Corporate Planning Division. He/She will be responsible for improving the internal communications experience of the SIA workforce. The incumbent will be responsible for creating employee-centric content including short- and long-form features as well as video stories, that are aligned with the Company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with teams in Singapore and across SIA’s global network to identify story ideas and content angles for staff stories, in support of the Company’s internal communications objectives
- Write and edit article drafts and digital stories including video content contributed by staff
- Support the production of a weekly in-house digital newsletter, monthly readership analytics surveys, and daily publishing of new content on SIA’s internal news platforms
- Plan and organize SIA’s bi-annual internal staff town hall – the SIA Business Meeting
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, with at least five years of experience in internal communications, journalism, editing, and/or related fields
- An experienced writer or editor, preferably with a passion for telling stories about people and the airline industry
- Works well under pressure, and with tight editorial deadlines
- Good writing and editing skills, with a flair for storytelling
- Proficient in digital tools including video editing software Adobe Premiere Rush and Premiere Pro
