Job descriptionWe are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic local Singapore graduates with ITE & Diploma certifications to join our team as Solar Site Engineer. The ideal candidate should be willing to work under harsh conditions at project sites and possess a strong interest in renewable energy, particularly solar power systems. Responsibilities:1. Site Assessment and Preparation

  • Assist in the evaluation and preparation of project sites for solar installations.
  • Conduct site surveys and collect data necessary for the design and installation of solar systems.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure all site conditions and requirements are met.2.

Installation and Commissioning:

  • Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Work with PM to ensure installations comply with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation3.

Maintenance and Support:

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing any faults or issues with the solar equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including installation progress, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
  • Prepare and submit reports to senior engineers and project managers4.

Collaboration and Communication :

  • Work closely with other team members, including electricians, technicians, and project managers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Criteria:

  • ITE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of solar PV systems and renewable energy principles.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and under harsh conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of on-site work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with solar PV system installation or maintenance (internships or academic projects are acceptable).
  • Familiarity with electrical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for site assessment and installation.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily outdoor work at various project sites.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and potentially challenging environments.
  • Candidates with BCSS and Construction Safety Project Manager Course certifications are preferred.
· Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to meet project deadlines.
