Join Our Team at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Our research concerns the study and control of the electronic states in functional materials. We investigate problems such as chiral magnetism, unconventional superconductivity, new collective behavior in the vicinity of quantum phase transitions and electron motion through materials at their quantum limits. Experimental techniques developed in-house for our research include miniature magnetometers, scanning probes, thermal and electrical measurement apparatuses to the milli-Kelvin regime and high fields.

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral Research Fellow to lead experimental efforts in low-temperature thermal magneto-transport of low dimensional magnets. Qualities we are seeking for are creativity and high impact accomplishments in low temperature experimental condensed matter physics. Facilities for measurements have been developed to support the experimental work of the Research Fellow. The Research Fellow will be employed and stationed at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. For more information about the laboratory please visit:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involve in low-temperature thermal magneto-transport measurements to explore the nascent field of topological magnonics in low dimensional magnetic materials

Job Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree in experimental condensed matter physics

  • Track record in thermal transport measurements at low temperatures and cryogenics handling

  • Experience with running and maintaining superconducting magnets

  • Demonstrated track record of research achievements in magnetism

  • Demonstrated ability to publish high-tier research publications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including scientific writing)
