Responsibilities:
As part of the System Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in the operation, support, maintenance, and continual innovation of the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software for both on-premise environments and Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).
- Participating in technical research and development to drive ongoing innovation within the system infrastructure.
- Ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software, and related processes comply with organizational standards, empowering staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Accountable systems include:
- Operating Systems: Linux, Windows, UNIX (AIX), Virtualization systems.
- Middleware: WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Message Queue.
- Backup Software: Veritas NetBackup, Tivoli Storage Manager, and other infrastructure-supporting tools.
Qualifications
- Recognized degree in a relevant technical field, such as Engineering, Data Communications, or Computer Science. Diploma holders with extensive experience and expertise will also be considered.
- Certifications in Linux and/or Microsoft systems, including Virtualization and Cloud technologies.
- Minimum 2 years of system administration experience.
- Proficiency in Linux scripting, VMware Virtualization, Middleware, and Cloud environments (experience with GCC is an added advantage).
