Redstone Commodity Search are working with a Metals and Mining firm looking to hire a Financial Controller to join the commercial team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and regulatory reports. Maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Lead financial planning and analysis, developing financial models and projections. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Monitor and implement strategic business plans.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies. Establish internal control safeguards. Identify and manage financial risks.
  • Operational and Cost Management: Manage financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation processes. Oversee financial operations of subsidiaries. Analyze costs, pricing, sales results, and performance.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and manage the finance team, including training and performance evaluation. Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with auditors, regulatory authorities, banks, and financial institutions. Support cost management, capital investment decisions, and efficiency improvements. Communicate financial results and strategic initiatives to the board and stakeholders.
  • Reports into Global Head of Trading

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably within the metals and mining industry, commodities experience in mandatory.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, letters of credit, financial analysis, financial regulations and standards and reporting.
  • Role Based in Singapore.
