This position performs all duties in Finance and HR support functions.

Responsibilities

  • Input and process completed purchases in the accounting system, after matching and validating suppliers’ invoices, purchase orders and other supporting documents.
  • Process and prepare payments by cheque/TT/GIRO to vendors.
  • Consolidate and prepare petty cash payments monthly.
  • Handle all enquiries relating to AP.
  • Update and maintain master record of vendors in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile AP Creditors Accounts in GL.
  • Update leasing and hire purchase schedules.
  • Prepare the provisions, accruals, prepayments and clearing accounts monthly.
  • Process month-end closing of AP module in accounting system.
  • Generate monthly AP reports.
  • Prepare a statement of unpresented cheques.
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules.
  • Handle banking matters.
  • Provide effective HR Business partnering support to all staff in HR matters and issues.
  • Effectively utilize HRIS to record, update employees’ data.
  • Provide excellent customer service in responding to enquiries effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain employees’ data and files and ensure they are kept up to date.
  • Provide support on the recruitment process including shortlisting of candidates, organization of interviews, administration of new work pass, documents submission, verification of documents.
  • Prepare documents for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist in the organizing of staff events and ordering of hampers.
  • Assist to collate data for Group Insurance renewal.
  • Assist on ad-hoc duties / projects as requested by the Director, Finance & Manager, HR.

Requirements

  • You should possess a Diploma in Accountancy or related field
  • You should ideally possess 2 years of experience in accounting
  • You should possess strong knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • You should possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • You should possess excellent critical thinking and be able to work at ease with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • You should be capable of handling confidential information with discretion
  • Eagerness to explore and learn in the field of HR
