Investment Manager

We are seeking an Investment Analyst / Manager, this role will involve conducting market research, identifying investment opportunities, and supporting the team in evaluating and managing investments in high-growth startups and emerging companies in gaming, and adjacent tech sectors. The ideal candidate is passionate about gaming, has strong financial acumen, and enjoys staying ahead of industry trends.

Job Responsibilities

• Market and Investment Research: Conduct detailed research and analysis of market trends in the gaming industry, with a focus on mobile gaming and the Indonesian market. Identify potential investment opportunities and partnerships that align with the company’s growth strategy, particularly within Indonesia.
• Financial Analysis and Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the profitability and risks of potential investments, including cost-benefit analysis for new game development or acquisition opportunities, especially in emerging markets like Indonesia.
• Due Diligence: Perform thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including competitor analysis, market landscape assessments, and evaluation of company financials.
• Strategic Partnerships: Support the development of partnerships with industry stakeholders, including game studios, publishers, and distribution platforms, to maximize value from existing and new investments.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the performance of investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Provide regular updates on financial performance and projections, particularly for investments in the Indonesian and broader Southeast Asian markets
• Strategic Recommendations: Provide clear and actionable recommendations to senior management based on financial insights, P&L analysis, and investment forecasts. Prepare presentation materials for leadership and stakeholder meetings.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with investments and gaming projects, proposing strategies to enhance returns and minimize losses.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and legal, to ensure alignment of investment strategies with broader business goals.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 years & above of experience in investment analysis, venture capital, or strategic finance, preferably in the gaming or tech industry.
• Deep understanding of the Indonesian market, with proven track record of successful investments or strategic partnerships within Indonesia and/or Southeast Asia, with insights into local gaming trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory environment.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, P&L management, and forecasting.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key insights for strategic decision-making.
• Familiarity with the gaming industry, including mobile platforms, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing detailed reports and presenting to senior management teams.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and/or Mandarin would be a plus for communication across international teams.
