Job Description

This role is based in Singapore with travels to India / Saudi Arabia as and when required depending on project execution phase.

The role reports directly to the Project Quality Manager on a specific project and works closely with other members of the Project Management Team (PMT) on a day to day basis, such as Package Managers, Project Engineers, SCM Manager and Project Operations Manager to manage QAQC activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the project team to establish and implement quality control procedures that comply with local and international regulations, as well as COMPANY requirements.
  • Overseeing the quality of materials, equipment, and services involved in offshore operations. This involves conducting regular quality audits, identifying and mitigating potential quality issues, and implementing quality control measures to ensure that the project meets the required quality standards aligned with COMPANY’s standards.
  • Works closely with the offshore crew to develop quality programs and ensure that all quality procedures are properly communicated and understood.
  • Coordinates the planning, implementation and supervision of the QAQC activities.
  • Develop extensive working relationships with Client/COMPANY, both external and internal, sub-contractors, suppliers, in order to maximize opportunities for the company and ensure customer needs are addressed.
  • Scheduling, performing and analyzing internal and external audits/site visits to verify compliance with the management system and applicable codes and standards.
  • Initiate, recommend follow up and close-out any non-conformance, corrective action and or preventive corrective action.
  • Analyses the nature and cause of errors to identify areas needing improvement in the processes and systems.
  • Develops all required Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all installation procedures pertaining to Project scope of works in line with COMPANY’s requirements.
  • Representing the project in QAQC audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and clients
  • Actively participate in all company and project quality initiatives
  • Promote and facilitate project team awareness of company QA and HSE procedures.
  • Interface with appropriate managers to ensure QAQC requirements are understood, addressed and opportunities for improvements are taken.

Job requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality management, with significant experience in the offshore oil and gas industry
  • Previous track record of working on Saudi Aramco LTA Projects is a mandatory requirement whereby candidate has previous experience dealing with various Aramco departments (PID, VID, POD, SAPMT, CSD etc)
  • Relevant experience working on previous EPCI or T&I offshore construction projects is preferred
  • Possess a deep understanding of local and international quality regulations and standards. This includes knowledge of regulatory bodies such as ISO, API, and ASME
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate quality policies and procedures to offshore crew members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to identify potential quality issues and develop effective quality control strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Certifications: The Project Quality Manager should possess relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, API Q1, or ASME BPVC to demonstrate expertise in quality management.
  • Other requirements: Must be willing to travel as and when required throughout various project phases.
