Responsibilities
What you will be working on
You will be involved in a broad suite of HR functions which include the following:
- Be part of the team to drive and manage the annual ranking and promotion cycle, target-setting, and evaluation.
- Recommend and evaluate changes (where relevant) to performance management policies and leadership development programmes for staff. This includes regular reviews of policies to ensure relevance and competitiveness.
- Design and manage the implementation of changes to policies and programmes across performance management and conduct, including taking guidance from Public Service wide changes where relevant.
- Partner and engage AGD’s management, line managers, and employees in performance and capability development
- Design and deliver briefings, e-Learning and messages to the line managers and employees, to advocate good performance management practices aligned with the overall talent development strategy.
- Develop expertise in the use of HR systems including ensuring the accuracy of HR records and managing system enhancements and upgrades.
- Support other HR duties, as required
What we are looking for
Functional/Technical Competencies
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Prior HR experience in the public sector and familiarity with Civil Service policies and guidelines will be an advantage
- Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Meticulous and good organisational skills
- Innovative individual who will think out of the box to find solutions for existing and anticipated problems
- A proactive attitude, results oriented and display strong multi-tasking skills to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively and build trust in order to influence, facilitate and resolve conflicts
- Strong analytical, written, communication and inter-personal skills.
