Role Summary

As an Assistant HR Manager, you will be crucial in managing various HR functions within the Lift & Escalator Service sector. Your role involves overseeing HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and compensation management. You will handle HR policies, resolve workplace issues, manage payroll, and support HR projects to enhance employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Working Hours: 5 days, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
  • Remuneration: From $4,500 Monthly Base Salary

Job Responsibilities

  • HR Operations: Manage HR functions including policy review, recruitment, employee compensation, staff engagement, and employee relations.
  • Recruitment: Develop and implement recruitment strategies, oversee the hiring process, and conduct interviews.
  • Employee Relations: Resolve workplace conflicts, staff grievances, and disciplinary issues.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Handle compensation management, including salary adjustments, bonuses, and annual increments.
  • Appraisals: Oversee the annual appraisal process, including ratings and bonus approvals.
  • Payroll: Check and process payroll on a monthly basis and support salary-related payments.
  • Market Data: Prepare market data for benchmarking and make recommendations for compensation adjustments.
  • Insurance & Audits: Negotiate company insurance policies and handle internal and external audits.
  • Union Negotiations: Negotiate with the Union on Collective Agreement renewals.
  • Support: Provide support for company events and assist in HR projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role managing a small team.
  • Education: Degree / Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Conversant with Ministry of Manpower rules and regulations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, excellent interpersonal and coordination skills, and strong project management abilities.
