Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer(s) to enhance and maintain the network performance service level to ensure the smooth business operations within the organization. You will be responsible to handle the incident response & investigation, working with vendors and the respective teams to efficiently resolve issues within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics or Information Technology;
  • At least 5 years of working experience in managing IT system network operations and support (24x7), service recovery, problem management, risk mitigation and impact assessment;
  • Proven track record with over 5 years of hands-on experience in successfully implementing IT infrastructure projects for LAN and WAN environments;
  • Proficient in installing and configuring a wide range of network technologies, including LAN, WAN, VoIP, WiFi, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, security gateways, VPNs, 802.1x protocol, VLANs, and L2/3 switches;
  • Skilled in using monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools to ensure optimal network performance and troubleshoot issues efficiently;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Desired Skill-set

  • Professional and technical certifications that include CCIE, CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, ITIL, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the 24/7 network operations, incident handling, maintenance, compliance, and renewal of IT infrastructure systems (Wired/Wireless) to ensure all systems are working in good condition to maintain normal operations;
  • Ensure proper project and change management to ensure delivered solutions meet technical, functional, performance and business requirements;
  • Responsible to detect signs of abnormality and to report overall system health status to ensure recovery actions, correction actions and preventive measures are in place for every incident reported;
  • Be the point of contract to attend to any incident/problem reported and to provide the impact assessments on the outage;
  • Work closely with vendors on mitigation measures and assist to resolve the issues and investigation for root cause;
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting;
  • Ensuring peak network performance through continuous monitoring and effective troubleshooting;
  • Scheduling and coordinating network upgrades while investigating network faults;
  • Ensuring network equipment is up-to-date with the latest firmware releases;
  • Perform system maintenance and deliver regular network status reports to key stakeholders.
