We are looking for field expeditors to perform expediting activities at vendors within Singapore for a valued client.
Job Description:
- Confirm order receipt acknowledgment issued between Client and Vendor
- Obtain an unpriced copy of the order placed between Client and Vendor
- Obtain a list of materials /sub materials received and still to arrive (with delivered and expected dates) and monitor / report upon during each expediting visit
- Expedite P.O placement for any open sub-orders.
- Expedite documentation and provide full details of the current documentation status between Client and vendor.
- Check, obtain a copy and verify the reliability of the fabrication schedule and estimated completion dates. It is vital that this is checked during the visit and scrutinised to verify if at all possible to shorten the lead times.
- Review and report if this is on schedule with the agreed PO delivery dates.
- Investigate the possibility of improvements to the schedule, even if a few days and identify any ‘blind spots’ which may not have been highlighted.
- Detailed fabrication check including materials preparation, fabrication, testing and final inspection.
- Check if inspections have been arranged
- Confirm the projected material readiness dates
- Report any actual / or foreseen delays.
- Take pictures of the assembly process of this order (if vendor allows)
- Discuss the visit schedule for further attendance with all parties involved.
- Factory shop floor tour with actual checks against latest fabrication schedule
- Observe their current workload
- Check and report on the planned logistic arrangements and dates.
