The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for IT Applications Specialist, to join our Group Technology team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Group IT Applications Director, core focus of the role to serve as the primary IT system owner and key support for Workday Adaptive Planning, Planview and other non-ERP applications. iNova uses these applications to support our business operations across Finance, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and various other departments.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for ensuring the Workday Adaptive Planning, Planview and other non-ERP application landscape is maintained, updated and meets the needs of the organisation. This will be achieved through:

  • Engagement with business stakeholders
  • Vendor, licence, and service management
  • Strategic planning to enhance and maintain effective service to the business
  • Delivery of enhancements to applications
  • Involvement in major projects to take into support new versions / major upgrades
  • Applying the iNova computer system validation operating model for documentation


While skills aligned to IT system ownership and application management are essential, experience in either or both application is desirable. In the absence of application-specific skills, iNova will provide training in both core solutions, and other non-ERP systems as required.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Application Management
  • Ensure key business stakeholders at all levels of the organisation are effectively engaged so that requirements are understood, enhancements and changes are prioritised and planned, and training is provided to their organisations.
  • Application licence and service management – understand the applications that require licencing and service management. This will involve working with service providers and software vendors to ensure licences are purchased or maintained in an effective way and that services are being provided in line with agreed contractual terms.
  • Deliver effective stakeholder governance, including management of change control, ticket and queue management, and maintenance of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Develop and communicate strategic-level planning, to complement tactical ticket and enhancement management, ensuring major application upgrades, security and access reviews, and managed services are effective and fit for the changing needs of the organisation.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities for IT processes and support the Business stakeholders to improve business processes for the associated applications.
  • Leading and/or involvement in major application upgrades and taking into support new applications required by the iNova business.
  • Manage overall support costs of the applications within budget
  • IT Business Analysis and Computer System Validation
  • Work closely with the Business stakeholders to ensure the applications are in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations for computer system validation. This is achieved by following the established operating model and documents templates for applicable systems already in use at iNova.
  • Apply this best practice operating model where applicable to fixes, enhancements and major version upgrades.
  • Apply best practice for IT change controls and continuously improve this process at iNova.
  • Establish new operational plans and processes for the organisation
  • Workday Adaptive Planning – IT system owner
  • Manage an integrated plan that encompasses the below elements of IT system ownership
  • Conduct triage for basic system incidents and collaborate with managed service provider to handle complex incidents.
  • Liaise with Workday's managed service and product team for system updates, troubleshooting, and feature enhancements.
  • Business partnering with the iNova’s Finance team, managing system incidents and enhancements.
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and management of the Workday Adaptive Planning system, ensuring it aligns with organisational needs and objectives.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate data security and compliance.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration between Workday Adaptive Planning and other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Snowflakes).
  • Oversee data import, export, and synchronisation processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow within the planning system.
  • Ensure the system complies with relevant regulations and standards, and support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Planview – IT system owner
  • Manage an integrated plan that encompasses the below elements of IT system ownership
  • Conduct triage for basic system incidents and collaborate with managed service provider to handle complex incidents.
  • Liaise with Planview's managed service and product team for system updates, troubleshooting, and feature enhancements.
  • Business partnering with iNova’s NPD team for managing system incidents and enhancements.
  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of the Planview system, aligning it with project management and portfolio planning needs.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure secure and appropriate usage of the Planview system.
  • Ensure effective integration between Planview and other enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Snowflake) to enable comprehensive project management and reporting.
  • Ensure the Planview system adheres to organisational data security policies and supports compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Other SaaS applications – IT system owner
  • Serve as the IT system owner for managing various small SaaS applications.
  • Liaise with SaaS applications product team for system updates, troubleshooting, and feature enhancements.
  • Business partnering with the business stakeholders for managing system incidents and enhancements.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with more than 5 years of experience in IT Application Management. You will also possess:

  • Experience in Workday Adaptive Planning (Desirable)
  • Experience in Planview (Desirable)
  • Effective stakeholder management with internal and external (Essential)
  • Licence management (Essential)
  • Experience in IT project management (Desirable)
  • Strategic planning experience (Desirable)
  • Procurement (Essential)
