Position: Legal BP (Indonesia Project)

Job Responsibilities:
As the key legal person for our Indonesia (especially for the JV company/factories), you will fully represent our interests in legal matters. You will work closely with the Group legal team and the overseas JV business units. We expect you to provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of areas including contracts, corporate governance, IP, day to day legal advisory, dispute management. You will establish trust with senior leaders, lead commercial negotiations, stay updated on industry regulations, manage disputes, develop legal documentation. You are responsible for identifying and managing risks across multi-disciplinary projects in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Fully responsible for legal business partner duties related to overseas joint ventures in Indonesia, liaising with the group's legal department and overseas joint venture business unit, and overseeing legal and risk management for the Indonesian overseas joint venture projects.
- Specific tasks include:
- Legal Support for Corporate Governance: Provide legal support for the Indonesian joint venture project from a shareholder's perspective, including company governance, handling board meetings, shareholder meetings, communications with partners, and legal review of
- business correspondence.
- Comprehensive Legal Support: Offer legal support for trade policy tracking and interpretation, major contracts, and data compliance. Provide legal advice for daily operations, production, and major decision-making activities of the joint venture.
- Dispute Resolution Support: Handle or assist in managing legal disputes.
- External Law Firm Management: Manage external legal advisors.
- Legal Training: Regularly conduct legal training sessions.
Requirements:
- International education or work experience, with the ability to work in English (both spoken and written) to review and modify legal documents; proficiency in the local Indonesian language is highly recommended.
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing or related industries is essential; experience in photovoltaic cell and module projects or industries is a plus.
- Singapore legal qualifications/lawyer's certification.
- Extensive experience in at least three of the following areas: contracts, corporate governance (board meetings, shareholder meetings), dispute resolution, anti-dumping trade policies, data compliance, or investment and financing. Additional experience in other areas is a bonus.
- Experience with joint ventures and collaboration/negotiation with partners is a plus.
