Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HSEQ Launch Lead to join our Contract Logistics team in the APAC region. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring that our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards not only meet but exceed customer expectations during the critical launch phases of new projects. You will be the driving force behind the implementation of DP World's HSEQ policies, ensuring full compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and our internal standards.

In this dual-reporting role, you will work closely with the Vice President of HSE for APAC (functional reporting) and the Vice President of Operational Logistics for APAC (operational reporting).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of HSEQ standards across all new projects in the APAC region, ensuring compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and DP World’s policies.
  • Collaborate with bid and design teams to integrate customer HSEQ requirements into new business solutions, ensuring these are met during project execution.
  • Ensure that adequate resources are allocated for HSEQ during business launches, optimizing for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the HSEQ training initiatives during the launch phase, guaranteeing that DP World's best practices are not just implemented but are ingrained within the operational culture.
  • Conduct rigorous HSEQ audits and participate in customer meetings to demonstrate compliance and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Oversee and maintain the HSEQ budget for launches, ensuring financial discipline without compromising on quality or safety.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Quality, HSE, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of HSEQ management experience in a logistics or lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in leading HSEQ initiatives for large-scale logistics operations.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing HSEQ solutions.
  • A meticulous approach to ensuring high standards is met in all HSEQ aspects, with a proactive mindset focused on achieving deadlines and goals.
  • Accredited with H&S qualification such as IOSH/NEBOSH.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate and solve complex problems creatively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively at all organizational levels, while fostering strong collaboration within multi-cultural, dynamic teams.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region (30-50%) to oversee and support new business launches.
