You will join the Industry & Technology Collaboration Department (InTeC), with a mission to grow water technologies and support the internationalisation of the water industry. The objective is to bring discoveries made in the laboratory to industrial application as quickly as possible, and to support the water industry to gain overseas market access.

As part of the Technology Collaboration Division in InTeC, you will be part of a team that promotes key water technologies to potential adopters overseas and in adjacent industries, so as to enhance the sustainability of these technologies in the long-term. At the same time, you will also leverage PUB’s overseas networks to help open doors for Singapore water companies in new markets.

Your responsibilities include:

A. Technology & Industry Promotion

  • Engage start-ups, entrepreneurs and researchers regularly to facilitate and assist in their efforts regarding commercialisation.
  • Engage potential adopters of water technologies overseas and identify potential uses of the technologies in adjacent industries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Institutes of Higer Learning (IHLs), Research Institutes (RIs), Government Agencies and Industry Associations to drive water technology commercialisation, translation and scaling up.
  • Leverage Government-to-Government and multilateral development bank engagements to explore opportunities for Singapore water companies.
  • Promote water technologies and the water industry to international delegations during hosted visits at the Singapore Water Exchange, as well as at international training programmes at the Singapore Water Academy.
  • Engage international delegates at the Singapore International Water Week to profile technologies and promote the industry.

B. International Engagements

  • Host visiting delegations in Singapore and share the Singapore Water Story.
  • Participate in overseas conferences, industry development engagements, and international Government-to-Government activities.
  • Support PUB’s involvement for the Government-to-Government projects.
  • Manage the PUB MOUs and facilitate industry involvement, as well as coordinate with embassies and companies on activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Science or other relevant disciplines.

• Work experience in technology commercialisation, industry promotion and international relations would be an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and an excellent team player.

• Motivated and meticulous individual with good project management skills and able to work with tight deadlines in a dynamic working environment.

• Good command of written and spoken English.
